There are over 230 groups within HCPT. Most are around the UK but some are based around the world. There are five groups that travel from the Manchester Region to Lourdes at Easter. Each one of them is made up of 6 to 12 children, a group of volunteers, a group leader, deputy group leader, group nurse and group chaplain. Each child is looked after one-to-one or two-to-one by one of our rigorously prepared helpers. They are supported by the rest of the volunteers in the group.

Together we spend a week sharing love, laughter and friendship, learning from each other and following in the footsteps of Saint Bernadette.

Another big part of an Easter Pilgrimage is fundraising. Each year, our helpers and supporters put on various events to raise the money to be able to take as many children as possible on this holiday of a life time.

There is one group that travels from the Manchester Region to Lourdes during the summer. Like the Easter groups, this is made up of a group leader, deputy group leader, chaplain and nurse. The most special aspect of our Hosanna House group is that anybody can go, regardless of age. If you have been to Lourdes before as a child or a helper and would like to go again, or if you would just like to visit Lourdes and get a taster of the HCPT adventure, Hosanna House is for you.

A key strength of HCPT Manchester Region is the community of volunteers and supporters, who work all year round to provide our life-changing pilgrimage holidays. They are directed by our leadership team, who meet on a monthly basis, and frequently in between, to organise our Easter and summer pilgrimages.
